Ear Pinning Surgery (Otoplasty and Pinnaplasty) in Hull, York, Grimsby, Lincoln & London

This is a procedure to correct prominent ears, the incision is made behind the ear and the ear cartilage is molded to pin the ear back. Dissolving sutures are used and the wound is covered with a head bandage.

You will need to come back after 1 week and the head bandage will be removed. Overall results are excellent but there are some well known limitations, risks and complications which you should be aware about. Scar, infection and bleeding are issues with any operation. The ear will be quite bruised but settles in about 2-3 weeks times. Ears tend to be different on both sides and some element of asymmetry will persist, which is minor and not noticeable.
